What the app and this site send, and what we keep.
Your files stay on your computer
Your backups, kits and samples never leave your computer. The app sends only what is listed below, and About has a switch for each one that has one.
Your license
When you activate a computer, and once a day after that, the app sends your license and a code for the computer, to check that the license is still good there. A computer you remove from your account stops saving within a day, once it is online; with no connection, nothing changes. The code comes from an ID your operating system keeps, and cannot be traced back to you. Our service keeps no log of who called it, so your IP address is not stored; a refused request is noted with its license for ninety days.
Updates
When it starts, the app checks this site for a newer version. Nothing about you is sent, and About can turn it off.
Crash reports
If the app crashes, it sends us a short technical report: the app version, your operating system and where in our code it failed. Never the names of your files, kits or samples, and nothing about you or your computer. About can turn it off. Reports are deleted after 400 days.
Usage counts, only if you say yes
Once a day, how often each feature was used, under a random number that is not tied to you, your computer or your license. It is off unless you turn it on in About, and each report is kept 400 days at most.
This website
No cookies and no tracking. The site is hosted by Amazon Web Services, which counts visits per page and country; we see only those totals.
Hearing when it’s out
If you sign up, we keep your email address only to tell you when the editor is out. MailerLite runs the list for us and asks you to confirm the address first, and every email has a link to leave.
Buying
Paddle runs the checkout and takes the payment; we never see your card. We keep your name, email address, order number and license ID, to deliver your license and handle refunds, and never for marketing. The sales record is kept ten years, as Swiss bookkeeping law requires.
Your account
Made when you buy, under your checkout email. There is no password: you sign in with a code sent to that address. A sign-in lasts an hour at most and ends when you close the tab; the site sets no cookies.
Seeing or deleting your data
Write to info@multipadeditor.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. Only the sales record has to stay, for bookkeeping; save your license file first, because after that there is nowhere to download it from. Swiss data protection law applies, and the EU’s for buyers in the EU.
